Ltd., the leader in mobile solutions is providing Singapore’s innovative mobile operator MobileOne Ltd. with the KingSub™ UICC, the dual-SIM solution, named M1 DuoSIM, which was launched in Singapore for both post-paid plan and pre-paid card services.
Singapore, the largest international trading market in Southeast Asia, with business travelers and foreigners rolling in and out, is one of the key mobile markets with over 100% penetration rate.
In the most recent release, MobileOne has offered the subscribers to enjoy the dual-SIM solution, based on SIMoME™ technology, which allows dual SIM access without changing handsets or holding two mobile phones when going on a trip, no matter for personal or business use purpose.With M1 DuoSIM, the subscribers will be able to switch the active SIM between two cards and check the phonebook on either SIM card while enjoying the local calling rates as well as other M1 prepaid benefits such as free local talk time, free local SMS and free IDD021 calls to 13 destinations when they use the prepaid M1 DuoSIM Card on the same handset.
Potential functions like automatic call forwarding from one SIM card to another while doing the dual SIM switching, accessing to existing SIM card phonebook by default will probably be added on in the future.
Advertisement of special promotions for new subscribers has made the postpaid schemes sell unexpectedly well. Quite a lot of M1’s existing customers have also decided to switch to duoSIM from normal SIM cards so that they can easily separate their personal and business calls by switching between lines instead of carrying two handsets.
